Where did the 7-day week come from?
❓Why was it invented?
❓Who invented?
❓Have there been other weekly cycles of a different length?
It’s so deeply embedded in our experience that we hardly ever question its rightness. For most of us, it’s a matter of “second nature”.
The sequence of the seven days of the Astrological week is essentially based on the arrangement of the seven planets.
In the fixed and invariable order 🪐Saturn-Jupiter-Mars-Sun-Venus-Mercury-Moon🪐, a distinctively Hellenistic arrangement (the arrangement of the figures in space and its realistic representation of nature) that evolved only in the second century.
✖️The current week cycle is flawed as it ignores the entire astrological context to the evolution of this cycle.
The length of the astrological week was largely a result of the fact that the ancient Babylonian astronomers happened to identify seven planets. ‼️
Had they been able, with the help of some sophisticated telescopes, to also observe Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, the week might have evolved as a ten-day cycle⁉️
What we got correct were our Solar 365 days year and the Lunar 29 days cycle, both we all deeply connected with.
The length of the week was largely a result of the fact that the ancient Babylonian astronomers happened to identify seven planets 👆
On the other hand, had they accepted the heliocentric model of the planetary system, where the sun is considered a stationary start rather than a planet, this cycle might have been only six days long.
Had they been able, with the help of some sophisticated telescopes, to also observe Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, the week might have been a 9 day week.
Humanity tried to change the 7 day week several times for example as:
🇫🇷 French Ten-day (Decade) 1792
🇷🇺 Soviet Five-Day (Nepreryvka) 1929
Why has it failed? Because there were imposed on societies deeply committed for many generations to the seven-day religious “beat”.
But why do people even try to change seven days after 1781…? Because we started to feel it was not correct.
❌Unfortunately, the 7-day cycle is not correct and many people are struggling with it.
❓Why do so many people struggle in a 9 to 5 job working 5 days a week?
❓Why do so many people start to be entrepreneurs and control their own schedules?
When I became a full-time entrepreneur and coach, I was going through different courses and learning the necessary skills.
All programs will suggest creating a schedule on Sunday for the upcoming week 📆
That is where my body starts to resist. All mindset shifts started exactly in these moments.
I would save a couple of hours on my Sundays, sit down in front of my calendar, and nothing. 🤷♀️Seriously, nothing.
I couldn’t make my mind focus on it. Of course, I will do little here and there. On top of the hour, it still was not done, so I’d grab another cup of tea.
😬I was frustrated and exhausted. No one woman would enjoy being in the masculine energy with her time.
Some days I will plan and promise myself not to hang too much on details, so I can at least feel accomplished with that duty. But then?
😿Then I wouldn’t follow through, judge myself, and feel like a failure.
😻All I wanted was to feel at ease with my schedule and make progress.
My teacher showed up at the moment when I was ready to have less stress and pressure in my daily life. When I learn the system that is now part of my PurposeFULL Calendar™ System - I was fascinated every day when I see how my body would react if I didn’t follow.
Before I tell you the ancient secret, let me ask you first...
❓How long was it between the day your mother “looked” at your father and the day you were born?
👏Yes, nine months. As I explained in this blog post seven days a week is an artificial convention but nine is universal and nature is showing us that in every human before we are even born.
Look, there are colors and codes associated with this system that show exactly why day one is Leader Day and etc. Which I go over in my PurposeFULL Calendar™ Certification.
Here, I'm just going to share with you a few examples of the 9-day system.
1) Leaders Day
2) Collaboration Day
3) Fun Day
4) Planning Day
5) Surprise Day
6) Ego Day
7) Source Day
8) Abundance Day
9) Completion Day
These 4 below are my favorite ones to focus on for work.
1 - Leaders day 👩💼
Start a new business. Start a new job. Prepare your soil.
Schedule business meetings. Sign a contract.
2 - Collaboration Day 👯♀️
Practice diplomacy and tactics. You get to be diplomatic, patient, listen to the opinions of others, negotiate with people, behave gently.
Collaboration above all.
4 - Planning Day 🗓
Back to work. You did the groundwork. Be productive and organize. Build your foundation. Get busy and follow your schedule. It should be all according to plan, planned out by the hour. A day of remarkable efficiency when you can do a lot of things!
9 - Completion day ✅
Profitably SELL everything you harvest.
A great day for public speaking. What you give will return to you, so give only the best.
Free yourself from everything that no longer serves you: things, ideas, habits, relationships.
Finish all things. Close this chapter.
The rest of the nine days also have very specific energy and purpose as well! Make sense?
Like you don't start a new business on the ninth completion day.
There are to-do's and not-to-do's as there is controversial energy.
Some benefits of being in your energetic alignment are:
- In the right time in the right place
- Attracting clients wherever you go
- Successfully closing enrollment calls
- Increased Profits
When you are in flow your energy magnetizes and attracts the right people.
❓How has it impacted me?
Before, my energy was scattered, and I was enrolling in different courses and not finishing them. I always had many ideas, but nothing came truly alive.
Now I plan my year easily and I am easier on myself while achieving more. Feeling most of the time in the right place at the right time.
👏 Highly successful people know that timing is everything.
